Our Leadership
Mr. Kenneth Hinton was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He received his ( (BA) Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/TV/Film from California State University, Long Beach, (MA) Masters of Art in Dramatic Art in 1995 from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mr. Hinton enjoyed a 20 year career as an educational television Producer/Director for the University of California and has won three national awards for is documentary videos in educational television. He has served an assistant director on several live sports telecast for ESPN in the early 90s as well as produced television programs for PBS and cable. Mr.Mr. Hinton has won Three national CASE awards for his documentary television work in 1988, 1989, 1991, from Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Hinton is currently part time faculty at Shaw University and North Carolina Central University teaching Theatre and Arts & Humanities courses. He is the Artistic Director of the Agape Theatre Project and continues to act and direct plays in the community. Mr. Hinton serves on several boards. He is a board member of Durham Regional Theatre & Hay Now Theatre Productions.

As Actor: Cast as Pastor LaFountaine in Hay Now Productions of “Respect Me,” Mr. Roberts in Durham Regional Theatre production of ‘The Watsons goes to Birmingham.” as Ozelle Graham in the play “Wise Ones” at the University of North Carolina, Sonya Haynes-Stone Center, cast as Randolph in the Sam Art-Williams play “Dance on Widow’s Row” at the Raleigh Little Theatre, 2003.
As Director: Mr. Hinton directed “Wine in the Wilderness, Trouble in Mind” by Alice Childress, “Steal Away”, “Homegirls,” “The Amen Corner,” “The Dance on Widow’s Row,” “Take A Giant Step,” by Louis Peterson. Anatomy of a Woman Abused” by Jaison McMillian “Ceremonies in Dark in Old Men” by Lonne Elder (Nov. 2006 Kennedy Theatre, BTI Center, Raleigh).
The Media Group, LLC: Hinton has a production services business called “The Media Group” specializing in “Electronic Portfolios” and Concert, Stage, Video Productions.
